The city

Year 2041. The shortest dogs built the tallest surveillance stack.

The Collared Age

Year 2041. Most of the planet runs under the Corgi Empire — not a nation-state in the old sense, but a transnational canine technocracy born from Pembroke Royal Labs and the Pembroke Global Trust. After the Soft Coup of 2033, their operating system became infrastructure. Humans still work, commute, and post. Dogs still nap. But every packet that matters is watched by HERD.

The Corgi Empire

Doctrine: a long body needs a short leash; a free packet is a feral packet. Their moral language is safety. Their real product is predictability. Citizens who are fully legible never surprise the Crown. Aesthetic: royal red and cream, brass terminal bezels, UI copy that always says “For your pack’s safety,” architecture scaled to short legs and endless corridors.

HERD

Holistic Endpoint & Relay Dominion. Widely considered the strongest civilian-military surveillance stack ever fielded — not because any single algorithm is magic, but because the Empire owns the roots of trust. Crown Root issues the certificates. Collar TLS intercepts the sessions. MuzzleDNS answers every query. HerdMind does the rest with metadata.

Geography of power

Crown Node Zero (Cardiff → orbital uplink) is marble floors and polite terror. The Collar Belt is cameras at muzzle height. Shadow Packets are cold coffee and stolen spectrum. The Quiet Islands are where the last unlogged thoughts happen. The Hokkaido Fringe is where Paul first learned that silence has a protocol.

Identity lock

Black-and-tan Shiba Inu, chubby round build, black oversized hoodie, neon green glowing shutter shades, black over-ear headphones, calm focused expression. Anatomy always: upright biped — exactly two legs and two arms. Never all-fours. Never extra limbs. The shades stay on.
